120 global citizens will make it to our finalist pool. You are not too late! There is still everything to play for with 95 places left in Stage 2 of the competition.


Here's how:

50 Places for Merit Points

Merit points are awarded for networking, sharing ideas and being an active member of our community! 25 Places have already been awarded.

20 Places for being a Groups Guru:

Judges will choose 20 people that showcase their knowledge and collaborate in debates with our 30 community led groups. You can identify these groups by the pink star.

10 Places for #JumpforMERIT:

Our community jump on issues and look for solutions. Our #JumpForMERIT campaign will be launched very soon!

15 Places for "People of Merit"

Judges will award bonus places that demonstrate they are talented and driven, aka 'Of Merit'.

12 Champions will be flown to the UK to compete in the Your Big Year final in November!


Once you are in the top 120 finalists, the competition gets tough, but it also brings additional excitement, fun and life-long friendships. To become a Champion, you will be ask to prove that you are a global citizen, entrepreneurially spirited and of Merit through a series of three rewarding tasks. Show the world that you are ready to win a life-changing prize!
